Decentralized Avocados

The decentralization of the avocado industry is paramount to the long term success and sustainability of small family owned avocado farms. The centralization of produce to grocery store supply chains is financially devastating farmers, destroying the nutritional value of produce, while delivering old produce that is preserved in ways that make it seem fresh. Throughout almost every industry, you can see how the centralization of control of entire industries leads to tragic results which is why there is a massive movement to decentralize everything from education to currency.

It's always best to buy FRESH produce directly from farmers because NOTHING at a grocery store is FRESH. All the produce goes through a long supply chain of processors, distributors, and grocery stores and during this journey avocados are treated with a toxic chemical to delay ripening, stored in cold storage after cold storage, and handled and mishandled by lots of different people. This experience is a far cry from getting Fresh Avocados direct from the farmer. It not only hurts the farmers, but harms the customers by selling old produce. Farmers work so hard to grow fresh nutritious food only for it to fetch bottom dollar, be manipulated and masquaraded as fresh when nothing could be further from the truth.
