We are third generation small family farmers raising the fourth generation. Our family has been farming in California since the 1960's and selling fruits and nuts direct to consumer since the 1980's. My grandparents were pioneers in organic farming in the early days, long before it was popular. We believe in farming in harmony with nature and operating as sustainably as possible. Avocados.com is the brainchild of two generational farming families working together to honor the long lost tradition of connecting humans to their food and farmers. Avocados are the perfect fruit to ship because they don't ripen until they are picked from the tree and then it takes approximately 2 weeks to fully ripen, so once they are delivered, they will be ready to eat within about a week.
